Ben Sca Wind Farm Ltd

Wind2 has received planning permissions from the Highland Council for a 9 turbine (37.8MW) wind farm on land located approximately 2.5km south of Edinbane and 7km to the east of Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye. The project is currently the subject of a tip height increase to boost production.

Lairdmannoch Energy Park

Wind2 is developing proposals for an Energy Park approximately 7km northeast of Gatehouse of Fleet and 10km west of Castle Douglas, located in local authority area boundary of Dumfries and Galloway. Lairdmannoch Energy Park is made up of two renewable technologies - wind turbines, and solar panels. The Proposed Development also contains battery storage, which will support the integration of the low-carbon power produced at Lairdmannoch. The Proposed Development will consist of nine wind turbines, ground mounted solar panels, and battery storage, with a total rated output of up to 100MW (60MW wind, 20MW solar and 20MW battery storage).

Swarclett Wind Farm

Wind2 is developing proposals for a 2 turbine wind energy scheme plus battery, located on land approximately 11km south east of Thurso in Highland.

Hill of Stoneyfield Wind Farm

Wind2, in partnership with Octopus Energy Generation, is developing proposals for a wind farm approximately 6km to the southeast of Huntly, Aberdeenshire. The Hill of Stoneyfield Wind Farm will comprise 3 wind turbines, with an installed capacity of approximately 14.4 megawatts (MW) along with associated infrastructure. The application will be submitted in Spring 2024.

Kirkton Energy Park

Wind2, in partnership with Octopus Energy Generation, has submitted a S36 application for 11 wind turbines of approximately 53 megawatts (MW) plus 20MW battery on land located approximately 3km south of Melvich in Sutherland, Highland.

Moorshield Wind Farm

Wind2, working with EDPR, has received planning permission for a 3 turbine (15MW) wind project 6km to the south-west of Eaglesham in East Renfrewshire.

Drummarnock Wind Farm

Wind2 is developing for EDPR, a wind farm on land located approximately 6km to the southwest of Stirling, within the Stirling Council local authority area. Drummarnock wind farm will comprise four wind turbines, with an installed capacity of up to 30 megawatts (MW). The project will be submitted in summer 2024.

Woolfords Wind Turbines

Wind2 has submitted a planning application 3 turbine wind energy scheme of 21MW on land approximately 1.6km to the West of the settlement of Woolfords in South Lanarkshire.

Balmeanach Wind Farm

Wind2, working for EDPR, has submitted a planning application for the 10 turbine (45MW) Balmeanach wind farm on croft land approximately 3km to the south of Edinbane on the Isle of Skye.

Windburn Wind Farm

Wind2, in partnership with Octopus Energy Generation, is developing proposals for a wind farm within the Ochil Hills, approx. 3km to the north of Alva. The project site is located on grazing land which forms part of two working farms situated across the Clackmannanshire - Perth and Kinross local authority area boundary. The Windburn Wind Farm will comprise up to 14 wind turbines, with an installed capacity of approx. 72 megawatts (MW) and associated infrastructure. The S36 application will be submitted in Summer 2024.
